Issue with a Neighbor?

Ok this happened three months ago:
Basically my dad was working on something with his car and let the garage door open, my dog was standing nearby outside. My neighbor had his door opened and his dog was outside and started barking, then running to my dog. My dog then ran to his dog and they started fighting. My neighbor tried to pull away his dog from my dog, which caused HIS dog to bite HIM. He finally pulls his dog away and goes back in the house. Three months later, his daughter,him, and his wife come to my door. I opened the wooden door (inside door) and the gate door was still closed. I’m not sure why but HIS daughter tried to open my gate door. I thought it was a robbery or something at first but they were my neighbors so I opened the gate door. She starts yelling that my dad hasn’t paid the 2 grand bill we owe to them for causing all those ‘damages.’ She says that she’ll take away my dog, sue me, and she says she doesn’t f–cking care. She says my dog is ‘breaking the law’ and will call the police on my dogs and my family if we don’t give her the 2grand by tomorrow. She hasn’t shown us any medical bills or anything, the dog was bitten by my dog during the fight and started bleeding. I’m not sure how bad but it wasn’t like crazy bleeding, the dog was fine after 2 weeks. He says the bill costed $500 for his hand that HIS dog bit and $1500 for the damages on his dog. This isn’t the first time his dog has gotten into a fight with another dog, and my dog plays with other dogs (male). My dog’s a female and so was that other dog. So I’m wondering, can she really do this? I mean, she’s disturbing the peace in my property while threatening to take my dog away (she didn’t say she’ll GET my dogs taken away, she said she’ll take them away, but I think she meant the same thing but don’t these things have some kind of technical term or something?) She trespasses onto my property and starts yelling at me with swear words and tried to open my Gate door at the same time.
Also, please leave your opinions about this, they are really pissing me off.
Also is it legal for them to do that?
